This non-profit, tax-exempt organization was founded in 1995 to
preserve the historical and genealogical heritage of the
area. The response has been astounding. There are now members from almost
every state in the U.S. and parts of the United Kingdom, as well and "cousins" have sprung up everywhere! The Society is
